heading back

break is almost over, second semester will begin... and life will keep on rolling :-)

this has been a great break-thankful that i could have spent so much time with my family and friends... they are a huge blessing in my life

last night i was able to go to pam and phil's house and play some much needed cards :-) love them! ...

Long time... no update :-)

Life has been going along as always :-)

Currently, I am sitting on my parents couch eating cheese and crackers and waiting to mend some pants that are too long (which i know you wanted to know)

This past semester has been filled with so much... but now is the time that I can look back and reflect on what this past year has been...

I am so grateful for the experiences I have had and the people I have met. I was thinking about the many friends I hold so close to me, and I am blown away that I can call them friend.

I am also just so grateful for my family that supports me in my life...

Anyways... Life (as i know it) is going great! I am learning and growing and pushing along... God has been so merciful to me and His grace continually astounds me... "where would I be, if not for Your grace"

I pray that you have had a time to reflect on this past year and the blessings God has given you...

chi-town

so... it has officially been a week since I have lived in chicago, IL... and that is a crazy crazy thing to say!

I had so many conclusions coming into this year... of how people were going to be, how my classes would be... and thankfully, they have all been wrong! i praise God for that...

I am stoked for this year, it is going to be challenging, but I am grateful!

fall plans

So after much debate, I have finally come to a decision. I will be attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois this upcoming Fall. I will be double majoring in Bible and Music and living amidst loads of people in the heart of Chicago.

I was originally planning on coming home for a week and a half and then heading up to Chicago, but then I got into a car accident in Dallas the Sunday before I was planning on leaving. However!!! My Iowan friend, Adam (akolosik.blogspot.com) was planning on visiting Dallas that exact weekend, and offered to give me a ride home!

All that said, I am currently in Nebraska getting ready to leave next Tuesday. Time is speeding right along, and I am continuing to dream about what my future will be. All I can say is, I have no complaints about the current situation. I will greatly miss my friends and family in Dallas, but I know that I will meet new friends in Chicago. I am so blessed and grateful for the memories made this past year, and the relationships built.

randomness...

a lot of updating to do! Mcusa is done... the summer has begun... oops, didn't mean to rhyme... anyways!

I am currently typing on my moms computer in Hickman, Nebraska... I am spending this summer in Dallas, however, after reading an email my mom sent me informing me that my brother, matt, and sister-in-law, jessica, were going to close on their house this morning, I decided at 1:37pm on wednesday afternoon to leave the big D and come help! I haven't seen them since christmas and don't really know when I will have the chance to see them again, so I figured, hey why not?! It was a great surprise to everyone... the only person who knew I was thinking about it (from nebraska that is) was ashton... but i pulled into my driveway around midnight that night...

I also got a job this past week... which is exciting! long story short, I met a guy in starbucks who is a financial advisor and him and a co financial advisor friend person wanted to hire an assistant... step in kelsey ankerson! so i got hired.. yay.... exactly what i have wanted to do!

well.. I am home for this week and then I will be returning to Dallas on Monday... I decided to stay down there this summer for multiple reasons... and I truly feel God wants me to be there... it is exciting and hard, but really exciting...

as far as next year goes, I am still waiting on the big guy to work out the final details, but I do have some idea of what may happen.. so that is super super exciting! I am just waiting for a couple of meetings to take place and all will be said and done :-)

anyhoo.. a lot has gone on, a lot of friends I had to say goodbye to... and a lot of lifelong friends I know I won't have to ever say goodbye to :-)

end of the year

i can't believe the end of the year is less than 20 days away... I have yet to decide what i will be doing next year, or what i will be doing this summer, this week, tomorrow, right now...... blah

i find myself wanting to cry at the thought of leaving, and i want to cry at the thought of staying... either way is going to break some part of my heart, and grow me in a new way...

anyways, thanks for the prayers, love you all... sorry i am such a mess! lol
